A loyalty product for restaurants, designed from zero: one home for points, prepaid money and gifts.
Context
Guests of a restaurant earned points, prepaid money and gifts, but rarely saw them: rewards earned, never seen. Tabit needed one place for all of it, branded as each restaurant's own.
I designed it from zero, from first wireframes to the visual system, working with a project manager and a developer.
Approach
Guests sign in with their phone number, see their points and prepaid balance, load their card, check history and open their benefits, all in a few taps.
Every screen started as a wireframe, with variants A and B for login and for the dashboard, so decisions about structure were made before decisions about style.
Decisions
Three choices shaped it. A phone number and a code instead of a password, so a guest is in within seconds. Benefit cards and banners are modular, so a restaurant can add a coffee card, a birthday gift or a discount without a new design.
And the product steps back: the restaurant's logo and colours come first, and Tabit sits quietly behind as "Powered by Tabit".
Design
Verification, typing, errors, successful card load, history and profile are all designed, on desktop and mobile.
Loyalty has its own colours, type, icons and image style: green, serif-led, built to make every benefit feel like a win.
Takeaways
One clear home for points, prepaid money and gifts, on a single screen, ready for any restaurant's brand across mobile, desktop and marketing.
A loyalty product only works if guests find their rewards in seconds. Designing for many restaurants meant building a system that knows when to step back.
